Snow

You come down from the sky,
In the cold winter time;
I love to watch you with my own eyes,
Feeling the soft snow flakes drop on me.

I do not live in a very cold town,
Very seldom to see you around;
I know you always flaking down,
softly covering up the ground.

The soft layer you made,
is quickly melted away;
If you do not fade,
a longer time you may stay.

I remember long time ago,
Visiting downtown Toronto;
The temperature was not that cold,
suddenly dropped a light snow.

This was the first time I saw snowfall,
The feeling was great and romantic;
Children love to make you into a ball,
Throwing for fun is really fantastic!

Too much of you is a worry,
Routine activity may be affected;
Such a situation is not funny,
Snowfall forecast should not be neglected.

Once a while seeing you is wonderful,
The white fluffy blanket you formed,
Looks clean, fresh and beautiful,
But please do not come in a storm!
