Yum Tree

Everywhere we go we see you around,
You lived here since this big land was found;
Many Australians like you and plant you in their garden,
The government protects you and never let you down;
You are so tall and always green,
Your skin is so pale and easily seen;
but why your skin peels off from time to time,
your leaves blown everywhere and into the yard of mine;
You are so easy to catch fire
and spread out into bush fire,
but you are so tough and always survive in the disaster,
still I don’t want to be your master;
Many artists like to put you into their painting,
which made you looked great and interesting;
I don’t mind to look at you from afar,
But not pleased for you to be so near;
Somehow you have already stayed on my floor,
after you are made the blue yum timber!
